Here is our interview:
I wanted to start by thanking Michael for being a part of the ShopABizOp.com community!
Q: Share a quote that you love and that gives you strength or peace.
A: “Be part of the change you want to see in the world.” Mahatma Ghandi
This quote reminds me why I’m in business, to make a change. Life changes are inevitable but our actions can influence the outcomes of those life changes.
Q: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?
A: I have had many burnout periods in the past working for other people. My burnout was just prior to being let go of my last job when I began American Saver of CNY. I was an over achiever for and for what? For someone else to look good and not give me credit? Sound familiar to anyone at all?
Starting my business and meeting with business owners through my chamber of commerce was a reality check that I am now working hard and it contributes to my success, not someone else’s like my past boss.
Please write us a little something about yourself and your company in this space here… more along the lines of why you bought the opportunity in the first place.
I’m a young entrepreneur that loves to make a difference in the community. My goal is to help communities all over the US solve problems with unfair unemployment with people who may not have the opportunities that typical employers have. I will accomplish this by providing flexible work with American Saver and training for them to become successful in sales potentially own their own business.
This business has brought out the best of me. I have the opportunity to help solve problems and collaborate with many businesses and organizations.
Q: Why did you buy the opportunity that you did?
A: I bought the American Saver opportunity because the company helps support several nonprofits, aims to do good in communities, and has the opportunity to grow! This was an opportunity to be a part of that growth.
Q: What price-point where you shopping for when you started your search? Did you end up spending more or less with the final buy?
A: I began searching for opportunities under $10,000 and watched the introductory video to American Saver which was unique compared to travel agencies and cleaning companies that were also listed under $10,000.
Q: Can you tell us a bit about the opportunity you purchased BRIEFLY and what it does – whole it does it for and about how much it costs to get involved with?
A: American Saver is a discount membership program featuring over 300,000 local and national discounts on their website and mobile app. Members can easily save hundreds and thousands of dollars a year with this private network of discounts for only $30 a year.
A: I’m more creative with marketing and brand development. Sales is something I will admit is something I am not the strongest in. However, my passion for solving problems and selling for a cause has made me a better sales person. I’m not selling coupons and discounts, I’m selling an opportunity for someone to save money for their food budget and auto services to maintain a living!
Q: Last, how long do you plan to be in this business and how much do you plan to make per year from it?
A: I plan on being in this business for a very long time, developing partnership opportunities with organizations that provide services to individuals that have a need for meaningful work.
